Honest John

Our little Johnny’s in Changi!

They’ve caught him smuggling substances and
he’s going to hang for it!

Everyday he can hear the noise of the gallows in
operation....................the
                                    twang
                                    of
                                    the
                                    rope
                                    as
                                    it
                                    snatches
                                    tight
                                    on
                                    someone’s
                                    neck
and the gaging of it's victims as they choke their their last.

But he isn’t scared.

Nothing scares our poor little Johnny.

He’ll never grass them up, whoever it was put him up to it, you can depend on that.

He isn’t soft.

He’ll carry the can for them all if they’ll let him?
Jam Tomorrow

They used to fill our heads with dreams of how one day robots would leave us all more leisure time taking over the workplace and making fortunes for us.

The promised Utopia, however, has never materialised.

It seems we were lied to?

Or, perhaps, our rotten masters have grown too fond of easy money to keep their word?

What Have I Done Since
I Last Signed On?

What have I done since I last signed on?
I haven't stopped
Haven't been able to
I've voluntary work
three college courses
letters to write
application forms to fill in
interviews to attend and prepair for

I'm a member of the local Writer's Group
as well as involved with two charities

What have you done since I last signed on?
Killjoy has come

Kids having fun dressing up as hobgoblins,
ghosts, witches and monsters with luminous
face masks and fake blood and some even
with sound devices playing mood music and
cackled laughter

They look the part.

Authentic

menacing.

Some win prizes and are featured and praised
in the local press for their ingenuity and
originality

They do their parents proud.

The fact they scare the shit out those suffering dementia is incidental  ( the devil to us all in the end )
